Surge in flight demand for Tết holiday

Traveloka, Southeast Asia's leading travel platform, has witnessed a remarkable surge in enthusiasm among Vietnamese as they prepare to welcome the Tết (Lunar New Year) holiday.

The platform experienced an almost twofold increase in booked flight seats, both for domestic and international destinations, in January 2024 compared to December 2023.

In anticipation of Tết holiday demand, Traveloka introduced the Tết Travel Super Sales promotion, offering more travel opportunities and added value for customers. This promotion features discounts of up to 50 per cent on all Traveloka products, available from January 5, 2024, to February 25, 2024, with a special Flash Sale Week scheduled from February 6 to February 19, occurring every day from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Meanwhile, the most preferred international destinations during this period encompass Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Taipei (China), and Chiang Mai.

In 2024, Vietnam tourism industry aims to welcome 17-18 million international visitors, serving 110 million domestic tourists, with total tourism revenue reaching approximately VNĐ840 trillion. These promotional programmes by Traveloka are efforts to contribute to the promotion and stimulation of Việt Nam's tourism, as well as to achieve the industry's goals.
