Starbucks introduces new beverages for Christmas season


US beverage company Starbucks is launching Starbucks Christmas tree (peppermint) dark mocha and new Starbucks Vanilla Nougat Latte for the Christmas season.

US beverage company Starbucks is launching Starbucks Christmas tree (peppermint) dark mocha and new Starbucks Vanilla Nougat Latte for the Christmas season.

The company is also marking the holidays with its red cups with holiday designs that go back to 1997.

This year, Starbucks has unveiled its first holiday cup with colour that can be added by customers. The cup design has a pair of hands holding red cups of coffee, an ode to cups of years past, connected with swirling ribbons with lively holiday scenes and splashes of red and green.

“This year’s cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations,” said Patricia Marques, general manager at Starbucks Vietnam.

The season’s “cup sleeve” (for hot beverages) is red with an invitation to “Give Good,” which is the theme for this year’s holiday campaign.

This year, Starbucks Vietnam is rolling out a challenge programme, in which customers complete four challenges by indulging in their favorite Christmas foods and drinks, bringing home their long-coveted Christmas merchandise and coffee, and receiving rewards for their spending.

Also, the breakfast combo program will run until the end of this season in which customers enjoy a 20 per cent discount on breakfast items upon purchasing any beverage. — VNS
