SSI Security Corporation has appointed Nguyen Manh Hung as chairman of SSI Asset Management Co., Ltd from May 26.

Hung will replace Nguyen Duy Hung, who has held the position of chairman of SSIAM and chairman and general director of SSI for many years. Hung resigns for personal reasons.

Hung has a bachelor’s degree in economics law from the HCM City University of Law and is known as one of the founders of SSI.

Before being appointed chairman of SSIAM, he was chairman of Nguyen Sai Gon Company Limited and a member of the HCM City Bar Association, and has worked in the field of economic law for many years.

With his knowledge in finance and economy as well as SSI and SSIAM, rich experience in corporate management and business strategy, and deep understanding of economic laws, he is expected to bring new breakthroughs to SSIAM, given the opportunities that exist for the fund industry in Viet Nam, which still has a lot of room for development.

SIAM is a 100 per cent-owned subsidiary of SSI, a leading securities company in Viet Nam, providing fund and portfolio management services to help individuals and institutions preserve and grow their wealth. — VNS
