Shinhan Bank Vietnam and Vietnam Airlines’ frequent flier programme Lotusmiles have signed a deal to launch the “Buying Foreign Cash – Getting Airlines Miles” programme.

Between May 6 and December 31 this year Lotusmiles members buying cash foreign currencies at any Shinhan Bank branch will get bonus Lotusmiles at the rate of one mile for every US$5 or its equivalent in other currencies.

The minimum to qualify is $100.

The rewards can be redeemed to air tickets or other rewards.

Shinhan is the first bank in Việt Nam to offer Lotusmiles incentives for foreign currency purchases.

Lee Han Byeol, deputy general director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, said: “Our collaboration has been built based on the same ‘Customer – Centric’ mission and vision.”

Nguyen Sy Thanh, director of Lotusmiles, said the programme is meant to express gratitude to regular customers of Vietnam Airlines.
