Starting in early September, Kim will oversee all strategic initiatives and operational efficiency for the business activities of Schneider Electric in Viet Nam, Myanmar and Cambodia.
With diverse international experience in working for businesses in South America, Europe, North America and Asia, as well as Africa, Russia and the Middle East, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the cultural differences across emerging markets, Kim was believed to have the ability to drive Schneider Electric in these countries towards further successes in the future.
As a new addition to the company, Kim will replace Xavier Denoly, who will take on a new role for Schneider Electric in the East Asian region.
Schneider Electric has been present in Viet Nam for more than two decades and credits itself with outstanding implementation of energy-efficiency programs and social corporate citizenship activities.
It plans to expand both its business and manufacturing capacity in Viet Nam, with a new plant being constructed in Saigon High Tech Park, which will be ready for operation in early 2017. — VNS
