HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Sapporo Viet Nam late last week in HCM City launched a new business strategy on taste, price and corporate identity.

Under the new strategy, their prices would be cut to the same level as Heineken's.

The design of Sapporo's 330ml bottle and can as well as the taste of the beer will be changed.

The new products will be introduced in early November.

The Japanese brewery entered the Vietnamese market in 2011, investing US$50 million to build a plant in Long An province.

In September, the company became a wholly owned Japanese company as Sapporo International Inc bought a 29 per cent of stake of the Viet Nam National Tobacco Corporation from Sapporo Viet Nam.

Next year, the company plans to reach double-digit growth in Viet Nam. — VNS
