Saigon Co.op, the owner of Co.opmart supermarket, on Tuesday broke ground for a store in the south-central province of Binh Thuan.
To come up on Ly Thuong kiet Street of Phan Ri Cua town, the 7,000sq.m supermarket will cost nearly VND70 billion (US$3.07 million).
The third Co.opmart outlet in the province will also have a food court and book store when it opens at the end of this year.
Like other Co.opmart stores around the country, Co.opmart Phan Ri Cua supermarket will also distribute price-stabilised goods.
Vietnamese goods will account for more than 90 per cent of its inventory when it opens its doors. — VNS
