Sacombank gifted nearly VND1.5 billion worth of protective suits, medical face masks and N95 masks on Wednesday to hospital and other Covid-19 frontline personnel in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Hue, and Dak Lak.
The recipients include the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang, Da Nang Public Security, Quang Nam Central General Hospital, Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, Quang Nam Public Security, Hue Central Hospital 2, and Hospital of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease in Dak Lak.
The Dak Lak hospital will get them after Wednesday.
Previously Sacombank donated nearly VND11 billion to the pandemic fight and for supporting localities hit hard by drought and saltwater intrusion.
It has also offered preferential credit to corporate and individual customers to support their efforts to sustain their business and meet living needs.
On July 2, at a bank-enterprises link-up conference, Sacombank earmarked VND1 trillion (US$43.1 million) for preferential loans to corporate customers affected by the pandemic at interest rates starting at 6 per cent.
It will continue with many practical activities to support the community in fighting the pandemic and overcoming its consequences.
