Nguyen Doan Thang said it would also completely digitalise the production chain with 80 per cent of data connected and automatically processed and in the unified system by 2025 and complete its smart factory by 2030.
On the firm's 60th founding anniversary yesterday in Ha Noi, Thang said Rang Dong aims to become the one of the leading digital technology enterprises in the field of lighting under the theme of “Make in Viet Nam”.
The same day, Rang Dong signed a co-operation agreement with FPT Corporation and VNPT Group to develop smart solutions in Viet Nam.
The firm also plans to work with VNPT to develop an internet of things platform and smart devices for customers, deploying smart lighting technology products and services for transformation.
According to the firm, these solutions will be replicated nationwide to help improve quality of life and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
In Q1, the firm recorded revenue of VND1.53 trillion (US$65.9 million), up by 38.4 per cent while export turnover increased by 70 per cent and budget contribution jumped 78.1 per cent while the firm’s profit increased by 45.7 per cent over the same period to hit VND139 billion. — VNS
