Novaland Group has recently gifted VND900 million to a programme supporting children with congenital heart defects who need to have a heart operation.

This is the second consecutive year that Novaland has taken part in the programme called Scar of Life, which is in its ninth year.

Jointly organised by Studio 68, VinaCapital Foundation and Heartbeat Viet Nam, the Scar of Life programme aims to inspire thousands of people, from business executives to community leaders and artists, to participate in "this magical journey to give a second chance in life to disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects".

This year, the programme has raised funds for free operations for 527 children to be performed by 2020. Within nine months, 2,398 children benefited from the programme.

More than 350 business leaders and artists took part in the 9th Scar of Life gala dinner where the premiere of the short movie “The Paper Plane” directed by Jun Pham was shown.

The film is about two poor children who have congenital heart defects. The children put their dreams into paper planes and fly them outside every day with the expectation that their wishes will come true one day.

In its 27 years of development, Novaland has paid a great deal of attention to social activities. The group has spent hundreds of billions of dong to support people who are living in difficulty as well as students in rural areas. — VNS
