New products create stable output for Vietnamese fruits

The Tri Viet Agricultural Food Trading and Producing Company on Monday officially introduced pure fruit pulp, juice and dry fruit products under Trivie brand to the local market and exporters.

The products are produced from fresh fruits such as lemon, kumquat, mango, durian and avocado.

Nguyen Huu Tri, the company’s director, said with the modern production lines from G7 countries, the products meet strict safety and hygiene standards of importers. In the local market, the products are distributed through the Ha Noi Trade Corporation (Hapro) supermarket system.

“We have orders from South Korea for one million tonnes of pure fruit pulp per month. In addition, five other plants also ordered our products,” he said.

He added that Viet Nam could consume several tonnes of fruit pulp and several dozen tonnes of juice.

“We expect that the products could improve Vietnamese agricultural products’ value. Trivie’s products have been sold in most of localities in the country, and Thailand, Cambodia, China and Japan, as well as South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the US, in addition to France and Canada,” Tri said.

The company has three material areas in the Cuu Long (Mekong Delta) region and the Central Highlands. It also has its own plantations and associations with farmers and co-operatives nationwide. — VNS
