One year after buying Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam for 655 million euros, TCC Group on Tuesday officially rebranded it as MM Mega Market Vietnam Company Ltd (MM Mega Market Vietnam).

TCC had acquired Metro’s entire wholesale operations in Viet Nam including all 19 stores and related properties.

Speaking at a ceremony to unveil the new brand name, TTC chairman Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi said, “As one of the most important Thai investors in Viet Nam, through MM Mega Market, the group is destined to invest in human resources and bolster partnerships with domestic suppliers and farmers to elevate the values of sustainable supply chains.”

His group will increase the marketing and distribution of products from Viet Nam in Thailand as well as other markets where they are present, he added.

According to the company, one of their first tasks after the launch will be to co-operate closer with local suppliers and develop more products to serve their professional customers while creating some of the most competitive product categories in the market.
