Royal Philips, a global leader in health technology, and Technical World Group+ (TWG - Healthcare) have installed Viet Nam’s first Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T that provides leading-edge MRI capabilities at the Long An TWG Women and Children's Hospital.

Ingenia Ambition is equipped with new clinical capabilities with the aim of helping physicians deliver consistently high-quality diagnostic outcomes, even for complex cases in neurology, cardiology, musculoskeletal disorders, and oncology.

With its high resolution images, physicians can enhance diagnostic confidence in fetal images when an abnormality on ultrasound is not clearly defined. In women’s health, physicians can capture clinical information including breast, uterine fibroids, endometriosis or ovarian tumours.

People’s Doctor, Dr. Vo Thi De, Clinical Director of TWG – Healthcare, the investor of the hospital, said “Ingenia Ambition 1.5T is among the latest advancements in Philips’ digital MR portfolio that help us excel in daily MR services, helium-free.

"This is our strategic investment as we focus on high-quality imaging capabilities to enable better clinical outcomes, improved patient and medical staff experience, and lower costs of care.”

“With our Philips Ingenia Ambition, we provide leading-edge MR Imaging capabilities with our fully-sealed BlueSeal magnet technology, reducing the amount of liquid helium to cool the magnet to less than 0.5 per cent compared to the current norm,” said Hugo Luik, Country Manager, Philips Vietnam.

“Due to a smaller, lighter and more flexible installation footprint without the need for a vent pipe, this also results in significant operational benefits by minimizing downtime, providing work-flow innovations for a step-change in productivity.” — VNS
