CS Wind Group (South Korea) plans to invest in building the world's largest wind power equipment factory in Long An Province's Cần Giuộc District.
The factory will manufacture wind power equipment, offshore and onshore wind tower equipment and offshore wind power products, such as monopiles and transition equipment, supplying them to the global market on a large scale.
Total investment capital is about US$200 million.
CS Wind Group will cooperate with Đồng Tâm Group (Việt Nam) to build the factory.
The factory is expected to supply oversized and overweight equipment weighing from 500 to 4,000 tonnes per unit. Most of the equipment and accessories in the initial phase will be imported and exported through Long An International Port with an estimated volume of 150,000 to 200,000 tonnes per year.
Huỳnh Văn Sơn, deputy Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, said that he appreciated the professionalism and efforts of Đồng Tâm Group's leaders in attracting a worthy investor to Long An.
In addition, CS Wind's choice of Long An to invest in the factory further proves that the province's investment environment is trustworthy, open and favourable.
Provincial leaders expect that when the factory goes into operation, it will create a big buzz in the region. Thereby, it will contribute to promoting the image of Long An Province to international friends, attracting more potential investors.
At the same time, the province is also committed to bringing an open and transparent investment environment to domestic and foreign investors. – VNS
