Ariston Thermo, a leading global company in the heating and water heating industry, has announced that Laurent Jacquemin has taken on the role of chief executive officer of the group.

Ariston Thermo, a leading global company in the heating and water heating industry, has announced that Laurent Jacquemin has taken on the role of chief executive officer of the group.

The appointment came into effect at the end of March 2017.

"The appointment of Laurent Jacquemin as CEO of Ariston Thermo confirms the willingness and commitment to the valorisation of talent who will guarantee the company’s growth, ensure future opportunities for development and provide value creation for all stakeholders," Paolo Merloni, chairman of Ariston Thermo, said.

Laurent Jacquemin joined Ariston Thermo in 1992, holding various positions within the group over the last 25 years, from product management to commercial responsibilities, and from country management to global responsibility related to several regions and company business units.

In 2016, the Ariston Thermo group recorded turnover of €1.43 billion and sold seven million products in over 150 countries, with 6,900 employees, 59 operating companies and eight representative offices in 36 countries and 22 production sites in 13 countries.

The group offers a full range of products, systems and services, mostly under the brands Ariston, Elco, Chaffoteaux and Atag, as well as Racold and NTI.

Ariston Thermo Vietnam was officially founded in 1995 and rapidly became the key exporter of water heaters not only to Viet Nam but also to other markets in Asia – Pacific.

In 2014, Ariston put into operation its Asia-second-largest plant in Bac Ninh with a total capacity of 1 million products per year. Ariston has been No.1 water heater brand in Viet Nam for over 20 continuous years and is in the top of mind of Viet Nam’s consumers. — VNS
