KIDO Group starts mooncake production with two brands


KIDO Group Corporation, a prominent Vietnamese food producer, foresees a breakthrough year in its mooncake business in 2024, featuring the introduction of mooncakes under two brands, KIDO’S Bakery and Thọ Phát.

KIDO Group Corporation, a prominent Vietnamese food producer, foresees a breakthrough year in its mooncake business in 2024, featuring the introduction of mooncakes under two brands, KIDO’S Bakery and Thọ Phát.

The CEO of the corporation, Trần Lệ Nguyên, revealed that the company has not set specific revenue targets for this year. However, the firm is dedicated to leading the traditional Mid-Autumn market segment.

In this year's Mid-Autumn market, KIDO Group is presenting two brands, KIDO’S Bakery and Thọ Phát. While KIDO’S Bakery is well-established in the market in recent years, Thọ Phát is a newcomer entering the Vietnamese Mid-Autumn market and will emphasise the production of traditional-flavour mooncakes.

"As we prepared for the 2024 season, we sought opinions from people of different generations. About 50 per cent of them favoured traditional mooncakes for their nostalgia and moments of family togetherness. As a leading company in the confectionery industry, known for pioneering the introduction of mooncakes to consumers, KIDO has a profound understanding of its customer base. Therefore, this year, we aim to revitalise the traditional Mid-Autumn atmosphere and resurrect the significant cultural values of the festival," Nguyên said.

KIDO’S Bakery and Thọ Phát mooncakes have been officially launched in the market since early August 2024, available through various distribution channels, both offline and online. Additionally, they can be found on popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Grab, the TikTokshop and many other retail channels. The group will also utilise leading commercial centres like Vạn Hạnh Mall, Hùng Vương Plaza, AEON Mall, and the system of miniBAO stores nationwide with hundreds of locations as unique distribution channels for the 2024 Mid-Autumn season. — VNS
