More than 20 Japanese businesses are introducing their products at a consumer meeting, hosted by Sakura Vietnam on Friday, in the capital city.

On display are high-quality Japanese products spanning eight sectors, such as home appliances, foodstuffs, cosmetics, healthcare and fashion.

The two-day meeting is an opportunity for Japanese enterprises to meet directly with Vietnamese wholesalers while advertising their goods to local consumers, the event’s organiser said, adding that more than 600 domestic wholesalers and 1,000 customers are expected to come to the event.

Sakura Vietnam, an affiliate of Japanese Sakura Group, entered the Vietnamese market in 2011 with the goal of becoming a leading provider of Japanese goods in Viet Nam. It operates a convenience store chain of the same name. To date, it has opened nine stores in Ha Noi and six franchised agencies nation-wide. — VNS
