Home Credit Vietnam Finance Company Limited has tied up with three insurance companies, PTI, GIC and Bao Minh, to provide additional benefits to the spouses of customers who buy insurance to cover 100 per cent of their loan.

This is the first time in Viet Nam that customers buying loan insurance get additional benefits for their relatives, the company said.

Now if an insured event happens to either the customer or the spouse, 100 per cent of the initial loan amount will be paid, and in case an insured event happens to both at the same time, 350 per cent of the amount will be paid.

They are also entitled to hospital charges.

The company said most of its customers are low-income people and unable to make provisions for risks.

Home Credit has been in Viet nam since 2008, providing consumer finance products.

The company is based in HCM City and has a branch in Ha Noi and nine representative offices in key cities and provinces.

It also has a network of 9,400 retail outlets in all 63 cities and provinces. — VNS
