Heineken Vietnam has been recognised as one of the best companies to work for in Asia by HR Asia magazine, one of the continent’s leading publications for HR professionals.
The honour, conferred on the Dutch-owned brewer for the first time, was part of the best companies to work for in Asia – Viet Nam Chapter.
Awardees were selected from out of 130 nominees across 24 industries based on proprietary research that assessed their working environment, human resource practices, employee engagement, and job satisfaction.
This year thousands of employees in Việt Nam responded to the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Survey.
HR Asia, a publication of Business Media International, developed the survey together with a team of senior industry practitioners.
“We believe the better trained our people are, the bigger the impact they will have on our company and the country,” Le Qui Don, human resources director, Heineken Vietnam, said.
His company has incorporated its sustainability strategy into its core business, with a key focus on caring for people, the planet and prosperity, he said.
Its business success owed much to its commitment to its people, he said.
Established in 1991, the company is a joint venture between Saigon Trading Group and Heineken. The Dutch company is family-owned and sells over 250 beer and cider brands in 179 countries. — VNS
