HDBank has signed up Amazon Web Services, the world's leading cloud computing services provider owned by Amazon, to serve its comprehensive digital transformation goal.

The bank will use AWS to improve its operation system efficiency and customer service, and speed up its digital transformation, contributing to improving operational productivity and adding positive values for its subsidiaries.

HDBank is the first lender in Viet Nam to tie up with AWS for the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes service (Amazon EKS Anywhere), helping it to self-manage and control technology on the cloud computing platform but operating in HDBank's data centre infrastructure.

This is a fundamental solution for HDBank to deploy all applications quickly and flexibly to keep abreast of modern technological trends, meeting its business growth target and controlling operational risks.

HDBank will move most of its IT applications and infrastructure from its data centre to the AWS platform to enjoy the benefit of scalability of cloud computing and build a integrated database to optimise its data analysis and technology infrastructure to cope with its growing number of transactions, maintain operations continuously and provide an exceptional customer experience.

With its steady operation and strong security capability, the AWS platform will also help HDBank better understand customers to tailor new products and services and improve the online service experience to help it get closer to its goal of becoming a ‘Happy Digital Bank.’

Amazon is a multinational technology corporation with the largest e-commerce platform in the world.

In 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic was ravaging the globe, HDBank tied up with Amazon to bring cross-border e-commerce opportunities to Vietnamese businesses.

HDBank held a number of meetings with Amazon to discuss how to operate and connect databases and carry out a rapid but quality and effective digital transformation programme among others. — VNS
