Golf tournament raises VNĐ3 billion for children with cancer and students affected by typhoon Yagi
This year, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam and its strategic partners raised nearly VNĐ3 billion through fundraising activities and art auctions.
The 2024 Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Friendship Golf Tournament was held on November 16 at Taekwang Jeongsan Golf Course, Nhơn Trạch District, Đồng Nai Province.
Featuring 116 local and international golfers, the tournament marks the 30-year journey of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s establishment and operations in Việt Nam.
Suntory PepsiCo has been pioneering in contributing to the sustainable development of Việt Nam through multiple programmes and initiatives, especially the Friendship Golf Tournament as one of the company's earliest initiatives to create shared value with the community.

This year, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam and its strategic partners raised nearly VNĐ3 billion through fundraising activities and art auctions. All proceeds will support the treatment of pediatric cancer patients through the HCM City Poor Patient Sponsoring Association and provide scholarships for pupils who are seriously affected by the Yagi Typhoon to back to school, through the Saigon Times Foundation – Phạm Phú Thứ scholarship programme.
Initiated in the early 2000s, the Friendship Golf Tournament has driven a significant meaningful impact, focusing on healthcare, education and disaster relief. To date, the programme has raised tens of billions of đồng, supporting numerous underprivileged individuals and addressing urgent community challenges.
The programme has supported heart surgeries for 380 children, constructed six medical centres, built four preschools, provided clean water to over 30,000 people and provided treatment aid for more than 470 pediatric cancer patients. — VNS
