The gold award for Hospital CEO of the Year has been presented to Nguyen Thuc Anh, CEO of Binh Duong Province-based Hanh Phuc International Hospital, for her leadership commitment to promote empathy and zero-harm practices.

This is the first time a Vietnamese CEO has received the gold award from Hospital Management Asia.

Surpassing 500 projects from 129 hospitals in 17 Asian countries, the hospital also received the excellence award for “most improved local hospital” for a project titled “The Hospital Identifies Six Areas for Improvement”.

The project which kicked off last year includes six quality improvement programmes - safety culture, risk management, paediatric food services, hand hygiene, incident systems, and patient rounds.

Hospital Management Asia is an annual conference for hospital owners, C-level executives, directors and industry leaders to exchange insights on healthcare management thinking, best practices and solutions.

This year’s conference was held last week in Ha Noi with more than 1,000 hospital owners, investors, CEOs, directors and hospital accreditation representatives. — VNS
