HCM CITY — FV Hospital has once again earned the prestigious Gold Seal of Approval from Joint Commission International (JCI), the global leader in healthcare quality accreditation, marking its fourth consecutive JCI accreditation.
Dr. Jean-Marcel Guillon, CEO of the hospital, highlighted that only about 1,000 hospitals globally hold JCI's Gold Seal of Approval. In Việt Nam, the number of JCI-accredited hospitals is still quite low, making FV’s achievement of four consecutive accreditations a rare and exceptional milestone – one that few institutions worldwide can match.
“Consistently passing JCI assessments, with increasingly stringent standards, proves that FV’s quality is on par with leading hospitals in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore, while our costs remain only half of those at regional hospitals,” he said.
Mohd Fazli Shuib, director of Quality and Risk Management at FV, emphasised the hospital’s commitment to sustainable development, stating that FV aims to surpass even JCI standards in order to provide greater value to its patients.
“When we talk about JCI, we are referring to patient safety and the quality of care, which is an ongoing journey, not a final goal. The standards set by JCI are considered the baseline that FV works to meet. In my view, the patient safety standards at FV should exceed even JCI’s. The recent updates from JCI are a stepping stone, bringing FV closer to the highest level of patient safety we strive to attain,” he said.
FV first achieved JCI accreditation in 2016, with subsequent re-accreditations in 2019 and 2022, following JCI’s three-year evaluation cycle. In 2025, FV earned its fourth consecutive accreditation – this time with an almost perfect score. — VNS
