HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — FrieslandCampina Vietnam, a dairy company from the Netherlands, has been named the best sustainable company at the second BeneLux Awards held in HCM City.

Jointly organised by Dutch Business Association in Viet Nam (DBAV) and Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (Beluxcham), the award aims to encourage organisations and individuals from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg that have made significant contributions to society and have had good business results.

"After coming to Viet Nam, the company targeted sustainable development. The target covers all aspects of production, technology and activities to improve the life of workers, farmers and society," said Amoud van den Berg, general director of the company.

The company's plants in Binh Duong and Ha Nam are equipped with advanced environmentally friendly technology.

It has organised many programmes to support disadvantaged people and held other activities to support the dairy industry. — VNS
