HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Dutch dairy company Frieslandcampina Vietnam was on August 4 awarded the Labour Medal, first class, for its contribution to society.
During its 20 years of operations in Viet Nam, it has helped develop rural areas by assisting more than 4,000 households with raising cows and becoming dairy farmers.
Together with the Viet Nam Red Cross Society, it has donated 240 cows to farmers to help improve their standard of living.
Under its Den Dom Dom programme it has built 20 schools and awarded 25,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students all over the country.
It has undertaken many programmes to educate people about malnutrition and green development. — VNS
