FrieslandCampina Viet Nam wins 2018 Asia Award


FrieslandCampina Viet Nam has been conferred the 2018 Asia Award honoured for being one of the 10 most outstanding enterprises in the continent at the Viet Nam- Cambodia Trade Promotion Forum in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh on September 14.

FrieslandCampina Viet Nam has been conferred the 2018 Asia Award honoured for being one of the 10 most outstanding enterprises in the continent at the Viet Nam-Cambodia Trade Promotion Forum in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh on September 14.

Its Friso brand won in the category of top 10 quality brands.

Arnoud van den Berg, managing director of FrieslandCampina Viet Nam, received the award given to top 10 leaders- entrepreneurs.

To win the award, companies had to meet certain criteria such as having an annual turnover of more than VND300 billion (US$12.8 million) and a trusted international brand, complying with the laws of the countries where they operate and winning certificates of merit from the local government for their contribution to sustainable social development.

FrieslandCampina, which has been in Viet Nam for more than 22 years, has undertaken programmes for developing the dairy industry, the Den Dom Dom programme to enable poor children go to school and communication programmes on the importance of nutrition and exercise to develop the physical stature of children. — VNS
