EVS has become a Siemens Solution Partner in the Electric Mobility (e-Mobility) segment in Viet Nam, following a cooperation agreement inked between the two sides in HCM City on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, EVS – as part of the Tram Anh Group – will promote Siemens electric vehicle (EV) charging hardware, software and services in line with Siemens’ global portfolio offerings.

“Viet Nam is a fast-growing vibrant economy," said Arjun Raju, head of E-Mobility for Siemens in Asia Pacific. "Nevertheless, the challenges of climate change and acute air pollution persist, especially in metropolitan cities like Ha Noi and HCM City."

"The transition from fossil fuel to zero-emission EV is a critical step towards tackling these problems. Through this partnership, Siemens will introduce its state-of-the-art E-mobility solutions supporting the roll-out of more EV charging infrastructure in Viet Nam, which is essential to growing the adoption of zero-emission EVs in the country.”

CEO of EVS Huynh Tien Dat said: "This partnership will help Viet Nam meet the infrastructure needs of its growing EV market. Siemens’ support will positively impact the development process of electric cars in Viet Nam and in EVS’s penetration of the EV Charging Infrastructure market."

Siemens, a focused technology company and a global powerhouse in Infrastructure, Industry and Mobility products and solutions, provides a strong portfolio for e-Mobility globally, spanning from EV charging hardware and software for charging and energy management systems to services and consulting.

These solutions and services are widely accepted in many global markets across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

According to Siemens, the Vietnamese market promises a bright future for e-Mobility. The cooperation with Siemens will enable EVS to enhance further Viet Nam’s EV charging infrastructure offering. — VNS
