Doosan Vina appoints new CEO

Kim Hyo Tae was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and General Director of Doosan Vietnam (Doosan Vina) on March 28.

Kim Hyo Tae has worked for nearly 27 years at Doosan Group. He took high positions and is knowledgeable about work related to design, production management, sales & marketing, and project management.

The new CEO had a meeting with his management leaders and shares the goals and development direction of Doosan Vina in 2022.

He said Doosan Vina would improve competitiveness through promoting capacity and experience and safety, strengthening multi-way communication while eliminating distances and conflicts between superiors and subordinates.

Doosan Vina is also focusing on commercialising new businesses of offshore wind power and fuel cells to ensure the workload for employees in the coming years.

The Quang Ngai-based Doosan Vina has completed 392 projects over the past decades, and its mechanical and heavy industrial products are present in 35 countries worldwide, including Japan, France, Italy and the US.

Doosan Vina, a high-tech industrial complex in the Dung Quat Economic Zone of central Quang Ngai Province, supplies the mega infrastructure products, including boilers, desalination plants, cranes, and structural steel for refineries, buildings, and infrastructure developments.

It has exported products to the world market valued at $2.4 billion. — VNS
