French Dassault Systemes on Wednesday inaugurated its office in Ha Noi - the first in Viet Nam, formalising its relationship and reinforcing its commitment to make the country one of the fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia.

With Viet Nam targeting to achieve carbon emission neutrality by 2050, the French software developer – best known for its 3DEXPERIENCE platform – brings a firm sustainability commitment in line with its official market entry.

“Sustainability is at the heart of Dassault Systemes’ Corporate Purpose. It is completely aligned with Viet Nam’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 at the COP26 summit (2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference)," said Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Dassault Systemes.

"The local presence that we are establishing here is an opportunity to support the country’s efforts to be a green manufacturing hub and facilitate the export of made-in-Viet Nam products,” he said.

“We have a long established track record in Viet Nam. This has seen us collaborate closely with some of the most prestigious universities nationwide, and develop a solid network of partners and resellers," said Josephine Ong, Managing Director for Asia Pacific South, Dassault Systemes

"We also have a growing base of customers across Viet Nam’s key growth sectors looking to deploy our 3DEXPERIENCE platform,” Ong said.

In Viet Nam, Dassault Systemes is working with the country’s largest private conglomerate, Vingroup, to support their digital transformation, namely for their VinFast and Vinhomes businesses.

“We are active in the EV (electric vehicles) space globally and see this as a sector in which our 3DEXPERIENCE platform is ideally suited to optimise manufacturing processes and help propel the industry forward in Viet Nam,” Ong said.

The company also has its sights set on Viet Nam’s emerging smart-city developments, with Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang announcing the deployment of smart technologies in sectors ranging from traffic management to health and education in the coming decade.

Currently, Dassault Systemes brings value to more than 300,000 customers of all sizes, in all industries, in more than 140 countries.

Through Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, global leaders and innovators across 11 industries have been empowered to improve their product development, quality management and regulatory compliance.

By connecting people, ideas and data in a single collaborative platform, customers are able to virtually design, simulate and test innovative products and services before they are produced and launched in the real world. — VNS
