Co.opmart opens store in Can Tho city

Saigon Co.op, owner of the Co.opmart supermarket chain, on Friday opened a new outlet in Thot Not District, Can Tho, its second in the southern city and 85th in the country.

The store stocks more than 30,000 items, including fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes, and household utensils, 90 per cent of them Vietnamese high-quality products.

To mark the opening, Co.opmart has launched three promotions, including discounts of up to 50 per cent on hundreds of essential items.

It also donated VND100 million (US$4,500) to the Thot Not Ward’s fund for building houses for poor people. — VNS
