AN GIANG — Vĩnh Thiện Đà Nẵng Co Ltd, a subsidiary of T&T Group, has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new hotel, shopping centre and convention complex in Mỹ Bình Ward, Long Xuyên City, as part of its mixed-use housing and commercial services project.

This marks the first international-standard five-star hotel in An Giang Province, with a total investment of nearly VNĐ2.3 trillion (approximately US$93.3 million). The project will comprise 20 floors, featuring 260 hotel rooms (Tower A) and 284 serviced apartments (Tower B). Completion is expected by the end of 2026, and the property will be managed by global hospitality brand Hilton.

The complex sits on a 3.5-hectare site within the broader mixed-use development spearheaded by Vĩnh Thiện Đà Nẵng. The project's first phase, which included 118 low-rise residential units and accompanying infrastructure and landscaping, was inaugurated in November 2023.

Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, the design of the complex was inspired by Núi Cấm — the highest peak in the southwestern region of Việt Nam and a distinctive cultural icon of An Giang.

Speaking at the event, on March 25, Lê Văn Phước, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, emphasised that the project would significantly improve hospitality, retail, and conference facilities in Long Xuyên, boosting local commerce, services and tourism.

Phước stressed that the development reflects effective collaboration between government and business in advancing urban development and enhancing residents’ quality of life.

He also reaffirmed the province’s commitment to providing maximum support within legal frameworks to ensure the project stays on schedule, maintains high construction quality and complies with environmental and building regulations. — VNS
