Central Group Vietnam and Big C supermarket on May 27 began distribution of gift packages to 3,600 disadvantaged children aged six and below to mark International Children’s Day. The programme will run until June 3.
Each package contains school items, confectionary, milk, food and more.
The gifts, worth a total of VND360 million (US$15,859), are being presented to orphans, children with disabilities, and children from disadvantaged families in provinces and cities where Big C has outlets.
To mark International Children’s Day on June 1, the supermarket will also organise promotions, activities and playgrounds for young customers at its 36 outlets around the country. — VNS
