BMW World Expo 2014 opens in Viet Nam


The BMW World Exhibition and Expo 2014, which is being held in Viet Nam for the first time, officially opened on Thursday and will run until Sunday at Royal City here.

HA NOI  (Biz Hub) – The BMW World Exhibition and Expo 2014, which is being held in Viet Nam for the first time, officially opened on Thursday and will run until Sunday at Royal City here.

The exhibition carries the main theme of "Your Driving Pleasure" and showcases, among others, the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive, a two-seater sports car concept featuring new advanced driver assistance aids.

It also introduces to the Vietnamese car market the latest BMW models such as the BMW M, BMW Individual and BMW Mini. Performances of stunt rider Mattie Griffin on his BMW F800 R were also shown.

"BMW welcomes clients attending the expo to celebrate 20 years of BMW's presence in the Viet Nam market," said Horst J. Herdtle, Euro Auto's Chief Executive Officer. "We are committed to continuing our mission to bring a unique driving experience and excitement to customers through brands that we represent in Vietnam."

In 2013, Euro Auto sold 950 units, and in the first half of this year sales increased by 30 per cent year-on-year. Company officials expressed hopes of breaking the 1,000-unit level this year. – VNS
