HÀ NỘI — Billionaire Phạm Nhât Vượnng decided to withdraw the VinFast VF 8 from the taxi service operated by his electric taxi company, Xanh SM, effective December 19.

This move aims to reinforce VinFast's positioning in the high-end car market.

A spokesperson for Vượng stated that this decision follows the successful introduction of high-end electric vehicles through the Xanh SM Luxury service. The VF 8 will now focus on its core target audience—high-end users.

The entire VF 8 fleet from Xanh SM will be transferred to FGF, a company specialising in buying, selling, and renting VinFast electric cars. This transition will facilitate car rental services for individuals, businesses, and retail customers in need.

The process is expected to be completed by February 2025. — VNS
