HÀ NỘI —

VinFast on March 8 exported nearly 2,500 electric cars from Mipec - MPC Port in Hải Phòng, to Jakarta, Indonesia, aboard the Silver Queen vessel.

This shipment, the fourth and largest to Indonesia within a year of VinFast's market entry, included four models: VF 3, VF 5, VF e34 and Nerio Green. The vehicles are equipped with right-hand steering to suit Indonesian driving regulations.

The timing of this shipment ensures that the vehicles will be available to customers before the Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr) holiday, offering a meaningful gift for the festive season.

VinFast has experienced significant growth in Indonesia, launching models like the VF 3, VF 5 and VF e34, and receiving positive consumer feedback. Notably, the VF 3 garnered impressive attention at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, becoming the most test-driven model at the exhibition.

To enhance accessibility for electric vehicles, VinFast has introduced attractive policies for Indonesian customers, including free charging at V-Green-operated stations until March 1, 2028, appealing refund options and a buy-back commitment of up to 90 per cent of the car's value.

In November 2024, VinFast began delivering the VF 5 model to Indonesia during the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week, marking its second electric vehicle offering in the country. The VF 5, an A-segment model, combines a robust, compact design with superior safety features compared to gasoline cars in the same segment, making it an ideal choice for urban drivers.

These strategic moves underscore VinFast's commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and its dedication to the Indonesian market. — VNS
