HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Big C supermarket chain and Unilever Viet Nam are handing out 3,400 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts worth a total of VND748 million (US$33,670) to poor families in 20 provinces and cities.
Poor households in localities where Big C has outlets - like HCM City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Hue, Nghe An, Ha Noi, and Quang Ninh - will benefit.
They will each get a bag containing rice, cooking oil, seasoning, fish sauce, and cosmetics.
It began on January 27 and will go on until just before Tet on February 8.
Besides, Big C and the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade will give gifts to 300 poor workers in Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, and Tien Giang on February 2. — VNS
