Big C launches consumer-based programme

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — French-owned supermarket chain Big C on November 14 will launch a "price guarantee" programme at all of its stores to ensure that it offers the best prices to customers every day.

"We will consistently check prices over other retailers to make sure that our price is the best price," said James Scott, the company's CEO.

 

If customers find any comparable fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) at a comparable retailer at a lower price than that at Big C, the supermarket will offer them the product, he said.

 

The customer-based and long-term programme will reinforce the supermarket's price commitment to its customers, showing them that "we are the best priced retailer in the country", he said.

The products included in the "price guarantee" are everyday items like food products (excluding fresh food), household products, and health and beauty care products.

The supermarket has been voted the retailer with the best FMCG prices in the country's four largest cities since 2011, according to the Kantar WorldPanel Smart Shopper survey. — VNS
