Bayer Vietnam and the Women's Charity Association of HCM City have provided 8,000 items of various self-care products to the HCM City Centre for Disease Control to aid frontline healthcare professionals fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

They include skincare products and multi-vitamin tablets to help take care of their skin while constantly wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep them energised mentally and physically.

The pandemic situation is taking unpredictable turns, and doctors and nurses are working around the clock to keep it at bay.

Understanding the physical and mental challenges that doctors and all frontline workers are experiencing, Bayer has provided 4,000 boxes of Bepanthen Balm which helps form a strong barrier to protect skin from irritants, care and gently heal redness and moisturises sensitive skin, and 4,000 boxes of multivitamin Berocca Peformance Mango.

Bayer delivered them along with heartfelt messages thanking frontline workers at hospitals and health facilities designated by the Ministry of Health to diagnose and treat COVID-19 patients, and reminding them to look after themselves and maintain their physical and mental performance.

Luigi Isabelo Dejos, head of the consumer health division, Bayer Vietnam, said: "As part of Bayer's vision of ‘Health for all, Hunger for none,’ we recognize that healthcare personnel should also have the means to take care of themselves while working tirelessly for the common benefit of the community.

“Bayer deeply understands and appreciates the dedication of the thousands of heroes in white shirts and supporting staff in these hard days. We are also aware how long hours of wearing PPE can cause redness and irritation. Therefore, Bayer would like to play its small part in supporting and caring for our frontline heroes with our products to help them take care of themselves and offer a measure of relief in the next challenging days.”
