Baemin Vietnam, an online food delivery application operated by Woowa Brothers Vietnam, has named Jinwoo Song as its CEO.

Jinwoo replaces Kiwan Ihn who becomes chief international officer for Woowa DH Asia JV headquartered in Singapore.

He joined Baemin Vietnam last April as the chief strategy officer, and has been involved with several projects to improve profitability, develop new verticals and strengthen relations with key partners.

He previously worked for a leading Korean private equity fund as vice president and held several senior leadership positions both in Korea and overseas including Samsung Electronics EU and McKinsey & Company.

In his new role, he will be responsible for setting up the sustainable development strategy for the app’s operations.

“Baemin has a unique DNA called Baeminess meaning ‘Excellence’, ‘Customer-centric’ and ‘Fun,’ which will be our main strategy for 2022.

“Together with the dedicated and resilient team, I am looking forward to creating sustainable impacts for our stakeholders, helping create and nurture the local food eco-system.”

Baemin, which entered the Vietnamese market in 2019, now covers 21 major cities across the country.

Woowa DH Asia is a joint venture between South Korea’s top food delivery firm Woowa Brothers and the world's leading food delivery technology corporation Delivery Hero, and it has a presence in more than 50 countries. — VNS
