Ba Na Hills welcomes 1,000,000th visitor


Ba Na Hills Resort in the central city of Da Nang held a ceremony welcoming its 1 millionth visitor of 2015 on July 27, the resort's owner, SUN Group, announced.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Ba Na Hills Resort in the central city of Da Nang held a ceremony welcoming its 1 millionth visitor of 2015 on July 27, the resort's owner, SUN Group, announced.

The group said it had welcomed its 1 millionth visitor to the resort for the year 2014 in November. Thus, this year's welcoming ceremony being held in July indicates a remarkable growth in the number of tourists to the resort, in particular, and to Da Nang City, in general.

To welcome the guest, Nguyen Van Tuat from HCM City, the resort has organized a carnival with vibrant dances, popular music and iconic fairytale characters, and the streets will be colourfully decorated.

Tuat will receive a gift voucher worth VND10 million ($457), which can be used to enjoy any of the services provided by the Ba Na Hills Resort. He will also receive a card granting free use of the cable car for one year.

Tuat said this was his second visit to the resort, adding that he had also brought his siblings' families from the United States with him.

In addition, Leber Dean from London, as guest number 999,999, and To The Minh, a grade 3 student from northern Vinh Phuc Province, who was guest number 1,000,001, each received a voucher worth VND5 million ($228.5) and one year of free use of the cable car.

Resort Director Do Thi Tuyet Hanh said Ba Na Hills has contributed to tourism development in the central city with its own attractions as well as through different festivals and events such as mass weddings and carnivals, as well as Christmas, Halloween and New Year holidays.

SUN Group said the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism had recently named the resort one of the best tourist destinations in Viet Nam. The resort's cable car has been listed as No. 3 among the 11 most impressive cable cars in the world by the British newspaper, The Telegraph.

The resort, located at an altitude of 1,487m above sea level in the southwest of Da Nang, is a complex comprising a resort, restaurant and hotel, offering entertainment, sightseeing and shopping opportunities and other ritual activities.— VNS
