Authorities in Điện Biên work with FPT to boost education and digital transformation

HÀ NỘI — A delegation from Điện Biên Province met with information technology services company FPT Group on Friday to discuss various issues related to education and the digital transformation.

At their meeting, FPT general director Nguyễn Văn Khoa outlined the potential and opportunities for collaboration with Điện Biên Province.

FPT plans to open an educational complex in Điện Biên that will include a branch of FPT University as well as high-quality primary and secondary schools.

Khoa also emphasised the importance of coordinating infrastructure development and connecting with projects to facilitate FPT's initiatives. 

The firm also intends to implement technology solutions to transition from public administration to public governance, focusing on building information systems that cater to the needs of the people.

Trần Quốc Cường, the province's Party Secretary, expressed admiration for FPT's commitment, noting that the group had conducted four surveys in Điện Biên demonstrating their determination.

Điện Biên boasts a strong educational record, leading among the 14 provinces of the northern midlands and mountains region, with 22 national first prizes in various subjects and a high university entrance rate from its provincial ethnic boarding school.

Cường highlighted FPT's role in enhancing Việt Nam's reputation abroad, portraying Vietnamese professionals as capable of excelling in global high-tech fields. He expressed optimism that FPT's presence in Điện Biên would inspire both civil servants and students alike. — BIZHUB/VNS
