HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — An enterprise division of Alcatel Lucent, the French global telecommunications equipment company, has introduced a new technology to address the challenges created by increased mobility and the explosion of new applications used by businesses in Viet Nam.

As part of its unified access approach for both wired and wireless networks, Alcatel Lucent Enterprise has introduced OmniSwitch 6860, the OmniVista 2500 network management system, and a range of additional network capabilities.

These new technologies give IT departments more visibility and control of their networks, while empowering employees and customers with the flexibility to use the applications they need on a range of devices, whether personally owned or owned by their companies, the company said.

Anthony Cheng, country manager for the Indochina region of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise division, said that, with an increasing number of businesses connecting their employees via cloud services and portable devices, it was important that IT departments in enterprises overcome obstacles.

He added that the new technologies had been built to take into account the latest devices and applications, providing businesses with the reassurance that their information is secure, while allowing employees access to their company's network from a range of locations and devices. — VNS
