Food and agricultural services conglomerate Lộc Trời Group has appointed Nguyễn Tấn Hoàng as CEO with effect from October 16.

Hoàng, 47, has been working at Lộc Trời since 2012 as chief accountant.

He had earlier held senior positions at major companies such as C.P Vietnam and Orient Bio-Fuels.

In his inauguration speech, he said he was taking over at what is considered the company’s most challenging period ever.

“I will … work together with the boad of directors, the executive board and all employees to lift Lộc Trời out of the current crisis and move forward in our journey of ‘Sustainable Development with Farmers’.”

Huỳnh Văn Thòn, Lộc Trời’s chairman, said the appointment marks a significant milestone in the process of restructuring and strengthening its key leadership.

The appointment was based on Hoàng’s professional competence, managerial experience, leadership qualities, connection with employees, and his alignment with the company’s strategic vision, he said.

He believed Hoàng would bring Lộc Trời back to its leading position in the agricultural sector. — VNS
