HA NOI - English luxury carmaker Rolls Royce appointed Regal Motor Cars to be its first dealer in Viet Nam, giving the company a foothold in one of the region's emerging auto markets.
The dealership, based in Ha Noi, will give local car buyers access to the brand's official supplies and aftersale services.
With the company's "Bespoke" programme, discriminating drivers can have their vehicles tailor-made. The service includes anything from the application of unique paint colours, coach lines and tread plates to whole vehicle designs featuring beverage sets, humidors and picnic cabinets.
The appointment of Regal Motors Car over Euro Auto surprised industry insiders, as Euro Auto has long sold cars under the BMW brand –the parent company of Rolls Royce.
As many as 70 Rolls Royce cars are running in Vietnam, four of them Phantom Dragons – a limited edition that costs US$1.2 million.
Based at the Goodwood plant in West Sussex, England, Rolls Royce is a wholly owned subsidiary of German automaker BMW and is the current producer of Rolls-Royce branded cars, which have been produced since 1904 through Rolls-Royce Limited and Rolls-Royce Motors. - VNS
