VinFast Auto has officially announced the pricing and opened reservations for the VF 5 electric SUV in the Philippines, just over a month after debuting the brand in the market.

The VF 5 electric SUV is priced at 1,191,000 Pesos (USS$20.391). In addition, VinFast also offers an attractive battery subscription programme that is optimised for the diverse mobility needs of each customer. Under the battery subscription programme, the VF 5 has a price of 992,000 Pesos ($16.984).

The battery subscription plan for the VF 5 offers monthly fees based on driving distance, with customers paying 5,800 Pesos for a maximum of 1,500 kilometres per month.

Customers in the Philippines can now place a reservation for the VF 5 electric car with a deposit of 5,000 Pesos per vehicle at VinFast’s dealership showrooms (the reservation is refundable under VinFast's policy).

Customers will receive a direct discount of 50,000 Pesos and freebies worth more than 50,000 Pesos per vehicle. They will also be given supports for payment of 69,000 Pesos or 99,000 Pesos per vehicle when completing the purchase through bank loan or direct payment methods, applicable to purchase with, and without, battery subscription respectively.

Until August 5, VinFast is also offering any customers who reserve the VF 5 without a battery subscription the chance to win one of 100 discounts of 95,000 Pesos per vehicle through a raffle.

Just over a month after entering the market, VinFast has officially opened first three dealership stores, launched the VF 5 and solidified plans to start delivering vehicles to Filipino customers by the end of the year. — VNS
