A Vietnamese AI start-up, AECIS, was featured at the Collision 2023 Technology Conference in Toronto, Canada, from June 26–29.

The company's founder Nguyen Tin Lang said that the firm's participation in the conference helped it access new trends in technology.

One of the effects of artificial intelligence in project management would be being able to predict risks, especially those related to occupational safety, schedules, or project quality.

In the construction industry, artificial intelligence would help improve the performance of risk assessment, Lang added. Normally, it would take a few weeks for people to evaluate.

Collision 2023 is one of the world's four major yearly technology conferences. All big and small enterprises active in the information technology industry, particularly start-ups, congregate here.

This year's conference introduced several new developments in the field of artificial intelligence, particularly large language models.

The last conference drew over 36,000 participants from nearly 120 countries, of which there were over 900 institutional investors and approximately 1,500 start-ups in attendance, and AECIS was the only Vietnamese start-up invited.

AECIS is an information technology company specialising in construction project management solutions. It currently focuses on markets in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. AECIS intends to expand its operations to North America, Egypt, and India in the near future to seek more partners and potential customers. — VNS
