Nearly 29 commercial deals with total investment of more than US$4.5 million have been committed as a result of investment matching activities at the national innovative start-up festival Techfest 2017.
The two-day event, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday in Ha Noi, attracted more than 4,500 people with 250 start-ups and about 50 domestic and foreign investment funds, according to Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung.
There were a total of 170 investment meetings before and during Techfest. A series of workshops were held with the participation of local and international managers, investors, start-ups and experienced experts in order to raise social awareness about innovative start-up and discuss solutions to boost the sector.
Techfest wrapped up the finding champions of Innovative Technopreneur Contest. The most excellent start-ups were awarded and received assistance from investors and sponsors.
The first award was presented to team Ami, a platform start-up with an application which helps users manage their homes in a professional and friendly way. – VNS
