Two start-ups, HACHI and Tay May To Mo, won prizes at TechFest Viet Nam 2016, getting the chance to visit Silicon Valley in the US.
Of these, HACHI is a start-up group with a high-tech application project in agriculture, while Tay May To Mo is a project focussing on creative technology.
The two-day startup festival that concluded in Ha Noi on Sunday attracted nearly 170 investors and more than 3,000 visitors, according to the organisers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung said that the event helps in developing a startup ecosystem in Viet Nam.
Participants discussed issues hindering the growth of the startup community, following suggestions made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam. Also, seminars and conferences were held, while international programmes and projects sponsoring startups and investment funds in Viet Nam were also honoured. — VNS
