The annual Viet Nam Information Security Day 2016 will take place on November 17 in HCM City and December 2 in Ha Noi.
The event this year takes place amidst increasing risks and threats in cyber space.
Two international conferences on the new era of information security will be held. The conferences will feature reports from large global firms such as Google, Microsoft, CISCO, IBM, Splunk, Samsung and Arbor Networks.
The Viet Nam Information Security Association will announce the Viet Nam Information Security Index 2016. The Ministry of Information and Communication will also present plans for the country’s information technology development.
This year’s event is also set to showcase the most advanced information security solutions from leading global businesses. Domestic IT firms will have a special booth to honour high quality information security products in 2015.
The event’s organisers also plan to launch a short-term training course on information security themed safe programming on mobile phones, a survey on information security nationwide and vote for high quality information security products and services in 2016.
The event is being organised by VINASA, the MIC’s Department of Information Security, the Viet Nam Computer Emergency Response Team and the Information and Technology under the Ministry of National Defence. — VNS
