The Republic of Korea will support Viet Nam in developing online conferencing services using mobile devices.

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Vietnam-RoK Friendship Association Ha Noi (VIKOFA Ha Noi) co-organised a seminar on web teleconferencing systems on Wednesday.

This event focuses on research and testing programmes for Internet video conference systems between IBC Technology JSC (IBCT) and VIKOFA Ha Noi.

The research will focus on developing an online conferencing service using mobile devices and software applications based on the Internet of Things (IoT).

These solutions can also be used with hardware available in conference rooms, not only minimising investment costs but also supporting the management of meetings across locations in real time using mobile functionality.

So far, IBCT has tested teleconferencing systems in some Vietnamese governmental agencies. IBCT expects to support all ministries, departments and agencies in Viet Nam in deploying the service in the near future.

With an increasingly consolidated and developed media infrastructure, video and voice conferencing has become an essential means of communication.

Using the solution proposed helps save both time and money, facilitating delegates to attend meetings at various locations and making geographical distance no longer an obstacle.

In addition, the deployment of these solutions will also help users obtain an efficient information sharing environment. – VNS
